Celebrate the holidays, practice your language skills, and make new friends at the WeLearn Community Christmas Party in Akihabara.
What to expect
WeLearn is hosting a Christmas party, and you’re invited! Whether you’ve attended a WeLearn event in the past or you’re new to the community, the WeLearn Christmas Party is open to anyone looking to join in the fun. Expect games, a photo spot, opportunities for friendly conversation and language exchange, and a Christmas potluck table. Come and share your favorite sweets, homemade treats, warm drinks, or Christmas-themed crafts and celebrate the holidays.
What to bring
For the potluck, WeLearn recommends sharing something like a Christmas dessert, snacks or light food, drinks, or Christmas crafts or handmade gifts. You’re welcome to bring something you’ve purchased or made yourself, but please include a small note about ingredients for allergy safety.
How to join
Participation in the class is free for members, ¥1,000 for non-members. For non-members, prior registration is required via this Google Form. WeLearn is currently running a 1-month free trial of their membership program, which includes free entry to other future events. Check it out via their website here.
Additional info
It’s recommended to bring something that’s safe to eat within the same day, fully cooked, and unlikely to spoil at room temperature. Avoid dishes containing raw meat, raw fish, or raw eggs, and since some participants may have allergies, it would be helpful if you included a brief note listing the main ingredients.
