Tokyo commemorates World Mental Health Day.
What to expect
October 10 is World Mental Health Day, designated by the World Federation for Mental Health in 1992 and now recognized by the World Health Organization. The goal is to raise awareness, eliminate prejudice, and spread accurate knowledge about mental health.
To mark the day, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building will be illuminated in silver, the color of the Silver Ribbon Campaign, and green, the theme color of World Mental Health Day.
An educational video will also be shown on digital signage at JR Shinjuku Station.
