Seasoned gardener or curious beginner, this is a petal-packed celebration for everyone.

What happens?

This Yokohama Flower and Garden Festival showcases a stunning array of floral displays and innovative gardening techniques.

At its heart is a botanical installation that invites visitors to imagine future gardens that live in harmony with nature. There will be dreamy rose displays — including trending Yokohama varieties and French favorites — and even Japan’s top cut rose competition. You don’t have to know the Latin names to feel the care.

Suggested Activity
Learn To Make Traditional Japanese Sweets — Artistic and Delicious
If you've ever wanted to try your hand at making traditional Japanese sweets, this is the perfect class for you. A certified wagashi instructor will teach you the secrets of mochi making, in a cozy, private studio. Finish off the lesson with taste tests and a cup of fresh matcha green tea.

Yokohama’s own gardening community also takes a bow here, from neighborhood park volunteers to bonsai hobbyists. And if you’re less of a plant expert and more of a hands-on dabbler, there are workshops in everything from origami florals to DIY perfumery — no green thumb required.

Schedule 2025

The festival will be held from May 3 to 5, at Pacifico Yokohama Exhibition Hall A & B. The event goes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 3 and 4, but ends an hour early at 4 p.m. on May 5.

Tickets 2025

Tickets are priced at ¥1,500 for advance purchases and ¥1,800 for same-day admission. Children aged junior high school and younger can enter for free. Certain workshops may require additional fees, such as the flower and greenery potting experience, priced between ¥700 and ¥1,000.

How to get there

To reach Pacifico Yokohama, take the Shōnan-Shinjuku Line (Rapid) from Shinjuku Station to Yokohama. There, switch to the Minatomirai Line and ride until Minatomirai Station. The venue is approximately a 6-minute walk from there. The whole journey should take about an hour.

Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
