The Yokohama DeNA BayStars are sending 3,500 drones over Minato Mirai on July 26 — billed by the producers as the biggest simultaneous drone flight Japan has seen — and watching won’t cost you a single yen.
What to expect
The show is produced by Red Cliff, the drone company behind Expo 2025’s flights and Shibuya’s big New Year shows, with visuals built around the BayStars’ STAR☆NIGHT summer series unfolding over the harbor — and per the official page, fireworks are woven into the performance too. The official viewing area is Rinko Park, the waterfront lawn next to Pacifico Yokohama.

The show flies on Sunday, July 26, 2026, with July 27 held as a weather backup. The exact show time hasn’t been announced yet — expect evening, and check the official announcement before heading over.

Rinko Park is about a 10-minute walk from Minatomirai Station on the Minatomirai Line, past Pacifico Yokohama.
