Held annually as part of YPAM (Yokohama International Performing Arts Meeting), YPAM Fringe is an open-call festival of independently produced performances held across Kanagawa Prefecture.
What to expect
Last year’s YPAM Fringe featured 50 productions across 30 venues, with a total of 202 performances attended by over 6,000 people. The event showcases productions from Japan and abroad unfolding all across Kanagawa, from theaters and open-air venues to unexpected, unconventional spaces. The event serves as a springboard for artists seeking international touring opportunities and a catalyst for cultivating creative collaborations.
