Yu Sakai is making a name for himself after showing off his smooth vocals and vibrant energy on NPR’s famous Tiny Desk Concert. Make sure to hop on the Sakai train as he shoots to stardom.
Along with the Tokyo performance, Yu Sakai will also perform in Osaka on June 2.
What to expect
Sakai is celebrating his eighth original album titled PASADENA, which highlights his many influences like J-pop, gospel, R&B, and jazz. Look forward to his honey-sweet voice and unique performance style as he presents tracks from his latest album as well as old and new favorites.
Also joining Sakai at the Shibuya show will be guests Shingo Suzuki (Ovall), magora, K Dub shine, and PUSHIM, who all collaborated on the PASADENA album.
The band features Takeshi Taneda on bass, Takashi Mochizuki on drums, Tetsuro Shibayama on guitar, and DJ DAISHIZEN.
