The upscale suburb of Shirokane is home to the supposed ‘Shiroganese’ (pronounced like it’s Italian) – a name given to snobby housewives from the suburb whose lives revolve around group lunches at French bistros.
Despite the rep, it’s a pleasant place to stroll around and there is even a hundred yen store next to one of the slightly-more-expensive-than-it-should-be supermarkets.
