Kinshicho is a large station, and a popular shopping and entertainment area in Sumida Ward in the east of Tokyo. There are lots of large retailers here including Parco, Marui, Yodobashi Camera, H&M, and baby and maternity wear megastore Akachan Honpo.
The area is filled with a ton of cheap izakaya, hole-in-the-wall drinking spots, snacks, and karaoke bars. It’s also apparently famous as one of the largest red light districts outside of the better known Kabukicho.

Kinshicho station on the JR Sobu and Chuo Lines, giving quick access to Akihabara and Tokyo Station. It’s also on the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line.
