Osaki is an area nestled below Gotanda and the southernmost station on the Yamanote Line. The area has seen extensive redevelopment over the last few decades. It’s home to an enormous Sony office and some huge office and retail developments such as Gate City. Virtually all the buildings in Osaki are linked by elevated walkways, so it’s possible to walk for 10 minutes or more without having to go down to ground level.
There’s not a huge amount in the way of Cheapo attractions, but there are branches of cheap chain stores like Marugame Seimen, Omusubi as well as 100yen shops and reasonably priced supermarkets. The banks of the Meguro River in this area are beautiful with lots of places to enjoy an al fresco cheapo meal while watching the joggers slog past.
