Costco Shinmisato is one of the closest Costco wholesale warehouses to Central Tokyo. By car, with good traffic, you can reach Costco Shinmisato from central Tokyo in about 45 minutes. Road tolls from central Tokyo are approximately ¥880 if you have an ETC card or ¥1,320 if you pay cash at the tollbooths. The exact toll will vary considerably depending on your exact starting point.
If you (like this writer) can’t work out why everyone is queueing up to get pizza or a hotdog served in a cardboard box, eaten outside in the blazing sun or the freezing cold next to the main entrance, then you are in luck. Costco Shinmisato is right next to Lalaport Shinmisato—a giant mall with a foodcourt and restaurants. It’s also 5 minutes walk from the Shinmisato branch of Ikea, so you can always grab some Swedish Meatballs instead.
A car is not necessary to visit Costco. Costco Shinmisato is about 13 minutes walk from Shin-Misato Station on the Musashino Line. If your shopping is too much to cart home, you can request for it to be delivered to your door.
