The Gatchapon Kaikan is a famous spot in Akihabara with a large collection of gatchapon machines.
Gatchapon are basically like Kinder Surprise except you don’t have to throw away the chocolate to get at the plastic egg within. There are large variety of machines with all manner of themes. The price for a single egg is ¥100 to ¥300 yen.
Although it might appear that the Gatchapon Kaikan is just the ground floor, it does in fact house 6 levels of shops and cafes including Gee! Store and Cure Maid Cafe.
