Japan’s Google flagship store — and the brand’s first standalone retail shop outside the United States — spans three levels (basement to second floor) of the Tokyu Plaza Omotesando “Omokado” building in Omotesandō, Tokyo. It opened on August 13, 2026, marking 25 years since Google set up its first overseas office in Tokyo — you can read more about the launch here.
It’s a one-stop shop for those who want to browse and test out Google’s product lineup — and since entry (and all the interactive tech) is free, it makes a handy addition to a Harajuku day out, especially if the weather turns.
What’s on each floor
First floor: The main shop floor, with the latest Google Pixel phones, Pixel Watch, Fitbit trackers, and Google Home smart devices out on tables to try. There’s a wall of phone cases, Japan-exclusive “Recrafted by Google Pixel” accessories made from upcycled materials, and California Dreaming — Landscape of Colors, an art installation by Google’s hardware design team.
Second floor: Pixel Studio, the fun bit — free interactive AI experiences, including a booth that simulates the Pixel camera’s super-res zoom and a Gemini avatar generator with suitably Harajuku style options. This floor doubles as an event space for workshops and creator meetups, and it’s where you’ll find the exclusive Google merchandise (25 items at launch) that you can’t get anywhere else.
Basement: The support floor — one-on-one help with device setup and data migration, walk-in and reserved repairs for Pixel phones and watches, online order pickup, and Pixel Care+ warranty services. A small gallery showcases the recycled materials used in Google’s hardware.
Tips for visiting
If you need a Pixel repair or setup help, you can book ahead online via the official Google Store site or just walk in. Workshop schedules are announced on Google’s official channels.
While you’re in the building, the rooftop terrace up top is a well-known free view spot, and the rest of Tokyu Plaza is good for a browse too.
