One of Okutama’s most famous places, Hatonosu Canyon is a valley through which the Tama River flows. A sight to behold all year round, many people like to visit in autumn when the surrounding trees have turned red.
Standing on the suspension bridge gives you a great view of the valley below. However, if you are want to admire the view from afar and get a photo with the bridge in it, you can simply walk further along to do so.
This area is also popular for hiking, as the trail is relatively straightforward and good for beginners.
