Japan Tattoo is an English-friendly tattoo studio in Shinjuku.

What to expect

Japan Tattoo has been operating for over eight years. Starting out in a small apartment with only one or two beds, they were so successful that they upgraded to their current studio, home to five stations and a roster of tight-knit and talented tattoo artists, in 2024.

Japan Tattoo has an English-speaking management team who handle everything from bookings and consultations to pricing, aftercare, and artist workload.

The studio has a roster of eight artists specializing in styles like Japanese and American traditional, fine lines, black-and-grey, anime, and lettering. Almost half of the artist roster are women, so women customers can feel comfortable with more intimate tattoo placement.

They offer full consultation and bookings by phone, email, social media, and their website. Walk-ins are also possible, depending on your design and artist availability.
