Jōchi-ji Zen Buddhist Temple is right next door to Tōkeiji Temple and nestled in a hill-side cedar forest. Although it was badly damaged in the Great Kanto Earthquake,  you can still see the three surviving wooden statues of the Buddhas of Past, Present and Future which have been designated as important cultural assets. Follow the moss covered stairs to the beautiful bell tower and explore the grounds.

Admission is ¥300 for adults and ¥100 for children.

How to get there

The temple is a 6-minute walk from Kita-Kamamura station.
