Kiminoen is a long-running tea shop in Ueno.
At Kiminoen, shelves are lined with everything from Uji matcha to regional sencha and roasted green teas. You will also find teapots, cups, and other tea tools, and there’s also a casual tea counter where you can choose a tea and have it brewed on the spot. A much-loved matcha soft-serve made with Uji matcha is another draw.
Note that the shop can get quite crowded at peak hours, so visiting early on weekdays is recommended if you would like a calmer experience.
