Missed your chance to rent a kimono in Asakusa or Kyoto? Well, there’s still a chance at Haneda Airport.
Designed to be a multi-purpose space where you can learn about, rent, and even purchase a kimono, Kimono Culture Station offers travelers the chance to experience the beauty of the garment before jetting off. There are even designated photo spots where you can pose all dressed-up in your gorgeous kimono.
As well as wearing a kimono, you can see exhibitions about the outfit and even participate in workshops. The station sells everything you need including the kimono itself, obi sash, and traditional accessories.
Note: Although the shop hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., kimono rental is only available from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
