Located inside one of the area’s traditional buildings, this tourist center has free Wi-Fi as well as a variety of pamphlets on what to do in the area. Sometimes you can also catch temporary displays, such as a Hina Doll exhibit or Paper Doll showcase during the annual Kawagoe Festival.

Most notably, if you’re a stamp collector, you definitely need to stop by. Inside, you’ll find a variety of free Kawagoe-themed stamps to commemorate your journey to this historic city.

How to get there

From Kawagoe Station, take the Kawagoe-01 bus going to Shinmeicho. Make sure to get off at Nakacho. From there it is a minute to the tourist center. The overall journey takes 7 minutes and costs ¥210.
