So you’ve arrived at Ryōgoku, and don’t know where to go. Why not start at the Ryōgoku Tourist Information Center and get insight into everything sumo and Sumida City?
Inside, you’ll find an information desk, sumo-themed souvenir shop, and even a dohyō (sumo ring). Surrounding the ring are various eateries serving sumo favorites such as chanko-nabe hot-pot.
Practical amenities include toilets, free Wi-Fi, benches for resting, and a 7-Eleven convenience store.

How to get there
If you take the JR Sōbu Line, tap out at the West Exit and the information center is right there. Alternatively, it’s a 7-minute walk from Ryōgoku Station on the Tōei Oedo Line.
