Sankō-en is a small tea shop tucked into the backstreets of Ueno near Okachimachi.
Family-run and around for decades, it specialises in Japanese teas, including green tea, roasted green tea and matcha, along with nori or seaweed and other pantry staples. They also stock Japanese black tea in tea bag format.
Along with tea, you can purchase a variety of teaware here ranging from tea infuser bottles to small tea strainers made in Japan using bamboo.

How to get there
Sankō-en Store is located deeper into Ameyoko. It is about 5 minutes on foot from Ueno-Hirokoji Station or about the same from Ueno-Okachimachi and Okachimachi Stations.
