Shoryuji is one of the sacred sites of the “Guardian Deity of the Zodiac”. Many visitors to Yorii Town stroll through the area to see all eight temples dedicated to these zodiac deities.

At Shoryuji, you can see two weeping maple trees that are natural monuments in Saitama.

How much is entry to Shoryuji?

Entry to Shoryuji is free. Those who walk the entire trail can choose to collect a goushin (shrine stamp) from each of the eight shrines, which costs ¥300 per stamp.
