Designed as a multi-purpose exhibition center in central Tokyo, the forum has hosted a wide range of events from an Ariande Grande tour to Olympic weightlifting.
The building was designed by Rafael Viñoly and completed in 1996 with a shape reminiscent of an elegant boat made of glass and steel. From the first floor, views of the Imperial Palace are combined with a bronze sculpture of Ota Dokan—a samurai warrior-poet turned Buddhist Monk.
