From morning til late night, Cafe Bleu is great spot if you’re in need of a break from Japanese eateries and have a hankering for good coffee, or wholesome Western cuisine.
The morning and lunch menu are cheapo friendly (toast set is 600 yen, lunch from 1,000 yen), and excellent espresso coffee is served all day and night.
In the evening, Cafe Bleu transfers in to an upbeat wine bar, with a delightful mix of flavors on the dinner menu. A more familiar Italian/French style (well, assuming you’re European), but sometimes with some less familiar Japanese ingredients. The “hamburg” steak and yam fries on the side were a match made in heaven. Cheapos take note, that the evening menu while delicious comes with a mandatory 500 yen charge (which offers up a tiny morsel of paté and bread in exchange). Expect to spend at least 3,000 yen per head in the evening.
