Tucked away in the backstreets of Higashi-Ikebukuro is a cutesy cafe that specializes in all things ginger. From ales, to sweets, and even curry—ginger is the star.
On our visit, we skipped the homemade curry (although other reviews claim it to be a hit) and settled for some coffee and French toast, which was paired with ginger ice cream. It was simple, delicious, and gets 5/5 as far as a light breakfast or snack goes.
Ginger ale connoisseurs will be happy to find a beverage menu with both classic and funky options, like the wasabi-infused ginger ale.
