This is no ordinary conveyor-belt sushi joint. The menu changes daily to feature local catches straight from the nearby Sagami Bay, allowing you to savor the freshest sushi around.

At this Odawara sushi restaurant, you can enjoy a wide variety of fish, including some that are hard to find elsewhere. For example, they offer “oshitsuke,” a white-fleshed fatty fish, as well as horse mackerel, which is the representative fish of Odawara.

To experience these, the staff recommend choosing one of the three daily sets. Each set includes three pieces of sushi for ¥540, with the selection changing according to the catches. You can see what’s included in the set on the board.

In addition to the more exclusive fish, the menu also features more common types of sushi, such as shrimp, tuna, and egg, with prices ranging from ¥300 to ¥600 per plate. Side dishes like fries and edamame, along with desserts, are also available.

Note: The menu is in Japanese.

Do you need reservations for Jizakana Kaiten Sushi?

While it’s possible to make a reservation in advance, it requires using a Japanese reservation site, which asks for a Japanese phone number and other details. Therefore, it is easier to just visit the store and take a numbered ticket.

Be prepared for a short wait, especially around lunchtime. To avoid the crowds, try to go either a bit earlier or after the peak lunchtime rush.
