Yanaka Shippoya is a small bakery with a feline theme.
Open since 2009, it’s known for its long, tail-shaped cakey doughnuts. There are over a dozen flavors on any given day, all made fresh each morning. They start at around ¥150 — just a few coins for a kawaii snack.
Although walking and eating one of these is fine, and in fact, they’re very portable and generally mess-free, keep in mind that some shops prohibit bringing in food and beverage.
