Being the poor college student in an expensive city, Michael quickly became a pro in being a cheapo. He was stationed in Kanagawa for several years while in the Navy, Japan became to feel like home, and decided to come back.
He makes it a hobby to find the best value for his yen, and spends his other free time exploring, writing, and making comics.
