The Hokkaido Fair (also called “The Hokkai Shokudo”) is a 4-day celebration of the food of Japan’s northernmost prefecture.

As an incentive to bargain hunters, if you get there early you could get a bunch of dishes that are normally 1,000yen for 390yen. The 390-yen deal is limited to the first 50 orders from each of the 35 food vendors—the early bird most definitely gets the worm!

Organizers report that up to 570,000 people attended the festival in previous years.
