Adrian Sherwood is back again with another edition of Dub Sessions — this time featuring inimitable DJ and producer Nightmares on Wax.
What to expect
Sherwood’s Dub Sessions is a long-running live event series centered around UK dub, bass culture, reggae, post-punk, and experimental electronic music. Curated by Sherwood, the events are known for combining live dub mixing, sound system culture, improvisation, and collaborations between veteran reggae artists and more left-field electronic or alternative musicians.
The event has garnered a strong following in Japan over the years, with last year’s 20th anniversary event featuring appearances from Sherwood, Mad Professor, and Dennis Bovell.
This year’s event will tie in to the 20th anniversary reissue of the Nightmares on Wax album In A Space Outta Sound and a new Sherwood dub reinterpretation titled In A Space Outta Dub. The night will feature performances from both artists.
The show will head to Osaka’s Yogibo Meta Valley the following night.
