The annual Aoyama Matsuri takes place on the first weekend of November at the Aoyama Campus—part way between Shibuya and Omotesando stations. The event draws huge crowds, with over 150,000 attending the event in normal years.
The event was cancelled/online in 2020. For 2021, the on-campus part of the event will be open to students of Aoyama Gakuin only. Those who can’t attend in-person are asked to join the online event.
Organized by the local merchants association and the students of Aoyama Gakuin, the festival has included a number of different types of events along with markets, talk shows concerts and a fashion show.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, many events have been canceled. Always check official sites before heading to an event.Tokyo's Best Events and Cultural Activities in Your Inbox Every Week
