While not the cheapest event on our list, for ¥3,200 (advanced ticket) you get an original Belgian Beer Weekend glass to keep and the ability to choose from 59 strong Belgian beers.
It doesn’t come with the same views as the Toyosu Belgian Beer Weekend, but you’ll still get a chance to sample the best Belgian beers in the game and a few tasty snacks too.
How it works
You will need to purchase the Starter Kit (¥3,300 in advance; ¥3,500 on the door) before you start knocking back the pints. The Starter Kit will give you a unique glass — your companion for the festival — and 10 tokens. These tokens are then exchanged at the various stalls for the beer of your choice. One beer will cost you between three and five tokens, so choose wisely.
You can always top up for ¥1,250 (five tokens) on the day.
Tickets are available via Rakuten and Family Mart. There will be limits on numbers this year, so buying in advance is recommended.
The Shinjuku Belgian Beer Weekend will be held at Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Sankaku Hiroba (2-6-1 Nishishinjuku, Shinjuku City, Tokyo). The nearest station is Tochomae or Nish-Shinjuku.Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
