The world of Golden Gai is usually hidden behind the doors of the numerous small bars in this popular drinking zone. For one night at the end of summer, the area becomes a little more open with the Golden Gai Noryousai—roughly translated as the Golden Gai Chill Out/Cool Down Festival. Drinks costs ¥500 and there’s a stamp rally, with speciality events in participating bars.
