hajime is an anthology zine and exhibition at ninetytwo13 in Akasaka by seven non-Tokyo-native artists, each sharing their first experiences in Tokyo.
The exhibition runs all day on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, then takes a break until the closing event on Sunday, April 22nd. The closing day sees the third installment of the CANVAS Sequential Art Meetup, on the theme of “Comics & Visual Storytelling”.
Through mediums including illustration, comics, and poetry, each artist tells a unique story. The closing day meet-up (free, but with limited numbers) is a chance to see the exhibited work and to hear the artists’ thoughts on it.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, many events have been canceled. Always check official sites before heading to an event.Tokyo's Best Events and Cultural Activities in Your Inbox Every Week
