Kagaya Starry Sky World Exhibition

The starry sky photographer, planetarium video creator, and digital artist Kagaya will have a special exhibition in Yokohama from May 1 to July 1. Through his work, Kagaya hopes to popularize astronomy and help people see the world in a new light.

What to expect

Around 100 pieces of the photographer’s work, including 32 new ones, will be displayed. Notable works include Starry Sky of the Four Seasons, Sky with the Moon, and Aurora.

As well as beautiful photographs, this exhibition will include a powerful new video broadcasted on a 16-meter screen.

Tickets

You can either buy tickets on the website or at the door. On-the-door tickets are ¥1,400 for adults, ¥1,200 for university and high school students, and free for junior high school students and those younger.

By buying tickets in advance, you will save time and ¥200 on the ticket price. Tickets will be available to purchase until April 30 on the Sogo Museum of Art website, Lawson Ticket, and 7 Eleven Tickets.

How to get there

The Sogo Museum of Art is on the 6th floor of the Yokohama Sogo Department Store. To get there, take the JR Tokyu Toyoko Line, JR Tokaido Line, or JR Shonan Shinjuku Line to Yokohama Station. The museum is a 3-minute walk from the East Exit of the station.
