What to expect

The Game of Life is known around the world, but have you ever played it in Japanese? Put your language skills to the test — with help from friendly bilingual staff — and work your way through the highs and lows of a lifetime.

Note: Staff are there to help you with the parts of the game that are written in Japanese.

Schedule

In addition to the daytime meetup from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., there will also be an evening meetup from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. After playing The Game of Life during the day, carry on the conversation into the evening. You can attend both with the same ticket or choose to attend only the day or night event.

Daytime meetup

  • 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Soft drinks are free.
  • Event highlight: Play The Game of Life board game from 2:30 p.m..

Nighttime meetup

  • 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Soft drinks are free and bringing alcohol is allowed..
  • Event highlight: Chat Time, engage in conversations on intriguing topics.

Tickets

This event costs $10 (USD) (around ¥1,500) and tickets can be bought online. The price includes free soft drinks, such as tea.

You need to register on the WeLearn website and either opt for a Pay-as-you-go Membership — where you pay $10 (USD) for each offline event and $7 (USD) for online classes — or an Unlimited Membership — where you pay $10 (USD) every month and join as many events as you want in that month.

You can also pay for tickets on the day for ¥1,500 if you use the app PayPay.
