Just in time for the grey skies, this exhibition at Design Festa Gallery in Harajuku aims to give visitors something fun and creative to do during the many rainy days ahead. All throughout the rainy season, the Design Festa Gallery will feature an interactive installation centered around umbrellas, or “kasa” in Japanese.
Here visitors can see both the works of other artists, as well as create their own. Decorating the exhibition will be a number of miniature umbrellas, which have been adorned with drawings and paintings by various artists. Visitors to this exhibition will also have a chance to create their own umbrella artwork, which they can then add to the ever-growing exhibition.
For the duration of the event, the adjacent DF Cafe & Bar will be selling hydrangea-shaped cookies and Okonomiyaki Restaurant Sakuratei will feature a special Rainy Day Only menu!
