The Mita Carnival is known for its food and drink stalls, parades, dancing, and iconic view of Tokyo Tower in the background. This year marks its 51st year.
What happens?
The Mita Carnival does summer festivals justice. Expect dozens of stalls lining the street and festival goers hunting for the staples: beer, yakisoba (fried noodles), and games for the kids. There is also live entertainment on the main stage.
The festival kicks off at 4 p.m. with an opening parade featuring motorbikes, a marching band, and a police squad car.
