Community is about mingling, music, and meeting up. So head to Mochi Communication, a local initiative with mochi, fun, and friendly folk to meet new people and showcase what you’ve brought to Tokyo.

What to expect

Chill out with a crowd at this local community meetup event and take part in traditional mochi-pounding (mochitsuki). There will be people from all walks of life mingling, enjoying the live music, and making friends, as well as a market selling local community goods, food, and drinks. Plus, mochi for everyone.

Tickets

Tickets for adults are ¥1,000, either online or at the door. Under-18s enter free, as does anyone who’s just there for the market or can’t eat mochi.

How to get there

Mochi Communication will be held at Courtyard Hiroo. The closest stations are on the Tokyo Metro Subway, and include Hiroo Station (19 mins walk) and Omotesando Station (25 mins walk).
