Okinawa comes to Tokyo at the Nakano Chanpuru Festival! For two summer days, the southern sun takes over Nakano with food, dancing, and performances.
What happens?
The Nakano Chanpuru Festival showcases the best of Okinawan food, culture, and traditions. It’ll be split across two stages: one just north of JR Nakano Station and one in nearby Shiki no Mori (Central Park). The main event is the Okinawan Eisa dance — part parade, part dance, and all party.
It’s not just the parade, however. There will be plenty of festival trimmings to keep you busy. Everything from stalls selling traditional Okinawan food and drink to handicraft workshops.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
