If you like athletic events without actually having to take part in them (here’s looking at you, Tokyo Olympics 2020 and Rugby World Cup 2018), now’s the time to pencil the Nakano Running Festa into your calendar. Although entries to take part in the actual running are closed, the festa offers plenty of other things to keep you busy while you watch competitors lope past (some of them in cosplay, so take your camera): food and drink stalls, special guests including Olympic athletes, and a nice day out in the delightful environs of Shiki no Mori Park.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, many events have been canceled. Always check official sites before heading to an event.Tokyo's Best Events and Cultural Activities in Your Inbox Every Week
