The annual Okutama Nōryō Fireworks Festival is a tiny fireworks show by Tokyo standards — but it’s worth checking out.

You can expect around 1,000 fireworks in a beautiful natural setting.

While there will be free seating available, there will also be paid seats for 2026 that must be reserved in advance. Prices typically range from ¥1,500 to ¥4,500, depending on the location and whether you need parking as well.
How to get there
The Okutama Fireworks will take place right in front of Okutama Station on the JR Ome Line.
Extra JR Ome Line trains will run after the Okutama Summer Fireworks Festival, which ends at 8:20 p.m. Departures from Okutama Station toward Ome are scheduled between 8:33 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., including special services to Tachikawa at 8:47 p.m. and to Ome at 9:21 p.m.
