Onomatopoeia Karuta Creation Workshop

2:00pm – 5:00pm
¥1,000 (on the door)

Japanese is known for its many onomatopoeic words. Take this opportunity to memorize them by creating karuta (playing cards) in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

What to expect

Dokidoki (heartbeat), wakuwaku (excitement), and zawazawa (buzzing) vividly convey unique emotions and situations in Japan. Create original karuta cards using your favorite onomatopoeia. This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your understanding of the language and culture while having fun with other participants. Language level doesn’t matter, just come and meet new people in this relaxed workshop.

Tickets

This meetup costs ¥1,000 on the day, so drop in to the WeLearn Community 80’s Café whenever you can.
