Hotel Options

Take a walk and enjoy the changing colors of the autumn leaves even at night.

What to expect

Tucked away in the Ogikubo neighborhood in Suginami-ku, Ōtaguro Park was originally the homestead of music critic Motoo Ōtaguro, who donated the park upon his death in 1979. It is now home to 100-year-old ginkgo trees, zelkova, maple, and others, all of which go from green to stunning autumnal hues once the temps drop.

Since 2003 the trees have been illuminated for visitors to take in the sights for a few hours at night, and the park now sees around 40,000 visitors during the illuminations.
