What happens?
Shibuya Street Dance Week takes place in Yoyogi Park, the center of dance and street culture in Japan.
It is organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture and Arts Council Tokyo, and past years have featured dance performances, battles, and workshops. Everyone is invited to participate.
EXILE’s Sekai, UNO, YASS, and Ryu serve as ambassadors.
Schedule 2025
A street dance championship for high school teams will be held at Yoyogi Park’s outdoor stage on Saturday, November 22, from noon to 3 p.m.
Dance clubs from across Japan will compete in groups of five to twenty students, performing short choreographed routines with music and props.
