Popular picture book author Shinsuke Yoshitake is holding his first large-scale exhibition in Yokohama. Loved by both children and adults alike, he is best known for his quirky portrayal of everyday people with their funny gestures.

What to expect
Over 400 sketches and original picture book illustrations will be on display — all of which showcase the lively and vibrant world existing in Shinsuke Yoshitake’s mind. Using a fine pen and imagination, Yoshitake aims to give a different perspective to things and moments that you see on a daily basis.
Tickets
This is a paid exhibition and tickets can be bought both in advance or on the door. Advance tickets will save you ¥200, costing ¥1,200 for adults and ¥1,000 for university students.
How to get there
The Sogo Museum of Art is on the 6th floor of the Yokohama Sogo Department Store. To get there, take the JR Tokyu Toyoko Line, JR Tokaido Line, or JR Shonan Shinjuku Line to Yokohama Station. The museum is a 3-minute walk from the East Exit of the station.
