A Super Fan Guide to the Yokai World: Understanding the Supernatural in Manga

6:30pm – 9:00pm
¥2,000 (on the door)

Join the first manga-themed event at JVTA (Japan Visualmedia Translation Academy) in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. If you love manga and Japanese pop culture in general, or are studying Japanese – why not check it out?

With this panel discussion, the group hopes to provide a deeper look into yokai – Japanese folklore that features prominently in many manga. What yokai have you heard of before? Did you know that not all yokai are scary? You’ll also be able to meet and talk to two knowledgeable pop culture specialists and discover something new.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, many events have been canceled. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
