During her career as a researcher, Anna has conducted more than 60 investigations in conflict areas, including Afghanistan, Chechnya, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. While working, she has been detained and interrogated by uniformed soldiers as well as insurgent groups.Her and her husband’s work in war-torn Syria is the subject of the award-winning documentary E-Team.
