Get giggling from September 12 to September 22 at the Tokyo International Comedy Festival (TICF). Both Japanese and international comedians take to the stage, performing in English and Japanese.
What to expect
A whopping 46 shows are planned, including stand-up comedy, international roast battles, comedy speed-dating, bilingual improv with the Pirates of Tokyo Bay, and a live recording of the LA-based Roast Battle League Weekly Podcast. The TICF will bring together local and overseas comedians.
The festival will also include ROASTFEST 2024 (September 13 to 15), featuring LA-based Hall of Fame battlers — Kim Congdon (Netflix, Comedy Central, Joe Rogan) and Keith Carey (Comedy Central) — as well as other visitors taking on Tokyo’s best. Watch as they battle for dominance in the 16-city World Roast Battle League.
In total, the TICF will feature 10 acts flying in from places as far as Barcelona, Los Angeles, Austin, and Vancouver to perform with local comedians such as Yurié Collins and club founder BJ Fox.
