Warm your hands, body, and soul at the cozy Ueno Christmas Market.
What to expect
Tucked away in Ueno’s Onshi Park, this small market tends to get missed off everyone’s Tokyo Christmas market lists — lucky for us, that means shorter lines. Keep your eyes peeled for the enormous Christmas tree and lights threaded through the branches. There’s a warm, inviting glow from the dozen or so food stalls serving everything from warm mulled wine to German sausages and pastries.
And being right beside Ueno Zoo, there’s a prominent panda theme. The stalls have little pandas with Christmas hats and there’s even a stall dedicated to panda-themed Christmas goodies. Ever wanted a panda for the tree or an X-mas panda tee? Head to Ueno Christmas Market, where they “panda” to all your needs (too much?).
