Although it may be marked in green on your map, Meguro River Park (also known as Meguro Riverside Park and Meguro Funairiba) is anything but.
In summer it is devoid of shade and in winter it has no shelter from the icy winds. The best thing going for it is its proximity to the river, so it’s a good spot for a rest from the crowds during the short, but intensely busy cherry blossom festival.
It’s also the location of monthly flea markets (one Sunday each month, details in Japanese here) as well as having a Docomo bike sharing station.
